COMP Cams has an immediate full time opening for a qualified Materials Buyer/Purchasing Agent to join our multi-brand, inventory & materials purchasing team.

This career-level position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior purchasing manager, as well as fellow material buyers/purchasing agents to meet the materials & purchasing needs of an aggressive, growing organization. Candidates should have some basic automotive technical knowledge as it will be necessary to apply the proper semi-finished product to manufacturing for completion. This is a fast paced working environment that requires the ability to multi-task and a very strong work ethic.

Qualified candidates will understand the fundamentals of materials management and have 3-5 years experience dealing with suppliers, business analysis, MRP and forecasting. Candidates need to have the ability to balance raw materials with production and demand. Must be proficient with MS Excel and have very strong overall computer skills. Candidates should be detail oriented with ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and fellow employees. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Excellent attention to detail is a must for this position.

Experienced candidate with Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business preferred; 3-5 years experience in a similar type position required.
