Purchasing Assistant

COMP Cams has an immediate full time opening for a qualified Purchasing Assistant to join our multi-brand, inventory & materials purchasing team.

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with senior purchasing agents to send quote requests to suppliers, follow up on supplier responses, review supplier responses for accuracy and completeness, input responses into spreadsheets, prepare summary analysis of spreadsheets, supply support to other areas as needed, manage small quotation projects to completion with little to no rework. This is a fast paced working environment that requires the ability to multitask and a very strong work ethic.

Qualified candidates will understand the fundamentals of materials management and have experience dealing with suppliers, business analysis and administrative tasks. Must be proficient with MS Excel and have very strong overall computer skills. Candidates should be detail oriented with ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and fellow employees. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Excellent attention to detail is a must for this position. Knowledge of automotive parts and materials is a “plus”.
