General Manager Full-time

General Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining an environment to support manufacturing, sales, marketing and customer service in an aftermarket automotive manufacturing company. Goals will be accomplished in a way that maximizes sales and margin potential, follows strategic initiatives and product plans, as well as promoting positive vendor relationships. The General Manager is responsible for the long term success of brand/products and is heavily involved in all stages of the development process. Must coordinate and manage all operations as well as develop associates to achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience; must exhibit strong management/leadership skills and set positive example for other employees
  • Interest/previous experience in automotive industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field of study
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and able to organize/set work priorities for oneself and other team members
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers
  • Should have good proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience managing operations with 10+ employees and annual sales volume in excess of a million dollars

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong drive to achieve meaningful, measurable results
  • Promote sales growth and profits; achieve monthly and yearly sales goals
  • Supervise, recruit, train, develop, coach and communicate with all associates and managers as well as assess performance
  • Draw accurate conclusions from financial and quantitative information
  • Gather specific and relevant information to fully understand problems
  • Use appropriate knowledge, information and expertise in making decisions
  • Establish clear, realistic timelines to accomplish objectives
  • Delegate responsibility and convey clear expectations
  • Identify and anticipate customer requirements, expectations and needs
  • Adapt appropriately to competing demands and shifting priorities
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management team
