Internal, multi-brand marketing department has an opening for a full time front end web developer to assist in our aggressive advertising/marketing efforts to the passion-based performance automotive enthusiast. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, multi-tasker, balancing routine duties with more complex and long term projects. Candidate must possess the ability to effectively balance competing/changing priorities with keen attention to detail, accuracy and awareness of deadlines. Ability to work both as an individual and team member is a MUST. Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with VP of Marketing, Database Developer, Interface Designer and overall Marketing Team to create & execute a variety of online projects
• Create, optimize & maintain a large number of company-operated websites that are primarily CMS/database driven on platforms such as WordPress and Magento
• Code custom Magento templates (PHP) based on approved graphics (Photoshop files) provided by our dedicated Interface Designer
• Continual research of emerging internet technologies, content management systems, mobile development and various asset management platforms
• Implement SEO strategy across multiple company websites
• Execute daily maintenance (product database, news, current events, etc.)
• Manage project timeline information for budgeting and tracking
• Must be able to work as project lead on both long and short term projects, including developing and managing project timelines
• Efficiently manage projects through the use of both internal and outside development resources; openness to work with outside resources is a requirement

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficient in popular web development/programming languages such as PHP, ASP, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS and XML
• Ability to hand code CSS/XHTML
• jQuery and user interface/user experience development skills are necessary
• Three or more years of professional web development experience creating W3C standards compliant, cross-browser compatible websites
• Basic understanding of database development and popular applications such as MySQL, Linux, Access, etc.
• Proficiency with WordPress & Magento template development
• Working knowledge & high interest level in Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics required
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat & Photoshop
• Results oriented personality with an aptitude for finding creative solutions to problems; strong analytical skills a requirement
• Career-minded professional with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to take basic direction and use skills to develop the best course of action
• Good communication skills; excellent verbal communication skills a MUST
• Strong work ethic as well as a strong code of ethics and integrity
• Experience in graphic design as it applies to web layout helpful, but not required
• Successful track record of ecommerce experience, especially the Magento (Community or Enterprise) platform, is a huge PLUS
• Bachelor’s degree in Web Technologies preferred. However, candidates with equivalent experience and students/graduate students will be considered.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
• Automotive interest strongly preferred

Must be able to provide examples of recent projects related to above skill sets.
